Servicing and Maintenance

Quantum Fire and Access have a dedicated team of service and maintenance personnel, who provide ongoing support of the systems to ensure they are maintained in good working order.

SANS 10139 recommends that fire detection and evacuation systems are serviced by qualified technicians at intervals not exceeding six months. This requirement may seem onerous, however many companies install systems initially to comply with building regulations and then simply let the system fall into a state of disrepair, so that when it is required the system fails to operate.

In addition to the SANS 10139 requirements, the South African Consumer Protection Act also places the responsibility on owners, tenants and service providers to ensure that fire detection systems are fully operational at all times. In addition to our expertise and knowledge associated with the design and supply of new systems, we are also focusing on the needs of our clients with regard to maintaining existing systems and equipment. We recognise the need to provide our clients with a high level of ongoing service excellence and a product range which can meet a client's current needs with the ability to be able to expand as the customers requirements grow.
